Bloomington, Ill. – Pinnacle Actuarial Resources, Inc. (Pinnacle) announces Pinnacle University 2025, a continuing education initiative in collaboration with several national educational institutions. The invite-only event will be held virtually and at Pinnacle’s home office in Bloomington on Tuesday, March 25, and Wednesday, March 26.

Pinnacle University is a distinctive development opportunity for actuarial students. As participants in the program, students learn about existing and emerging issues in the insurance industry and apply their analytic acumen and research skills to develop and deliver presentations on these issues. The program offers hands-on business experience in project management, teamwork and the delivery of business presentations.

“For the past 12 years, Pinnacle has invested in emerging talent in the actuarial industry by hosting Pinnacle University,” Managing Principal Roosevelt Mosley said. “The program displays the firm’s commitment to actuarial science and the next generation of actuaries. We are pleased to continue to offer Pinnacle University as a way to provide real-world experience to prepare students for their actuarial career.”

For Pinnacle University, participants collaborate with Pinnacle’s actuarial professionals to research topics that are relevant to the field and industry. During the event in March, the teams present their findings, and a panel of credentialed actuaries from universities and companies lead discussion on the findings and conclusions as well as the team’s execution of their presentation.  

Inflation, AI, tariffs and alternative markets are a few of the industry issues and topics of this year’s Pinnacle University sessions.  

“Pinnacle University was established to give students insight into how professional firms and the insurance industry works,” Pinnacle Senior Consulting Actuary Erich Brandt said. “Our great students obtain important experience by participating in the program and many go on to have successful careers in the profession. The event is privately held, but the Pinnacle University teams publish blogs on their research that will become publicly available in the coming months.
